Neon Altar is my personal passion project.
It’s a launch pad to explore magickal practice, occult thought and witchcraft communities. A container for craft, thought, art and community. A way to support and showcase independent makers while nurturing a creative vision. A hobby to pursue photography, writing, curation and production.
Neon Altar is a reaction.
I believe the modern embrace of witchcraft is a direct response to feeling out-of-control and unheard by the many marginalized members of our society. When the concentration of wealth in the hands of the few yank resources for basic living standards away from the most vulnerable people in our society, a turn towards thoughtful and community-focused initiatives is crucial for progress.
Neon Altar is ethically sourced & consciously curated.
Spirituality is both reaction and refuge to greed and obsession with wealth by any means. Neon Altar is a store, but exploitative crystal mining, endangering of sacred plants, and cultural appropriation are all concerns. My crystals, sage, and palo santo are ethically sourced. Independent makers are paid directly for goods. LGBTQ and POC perspectives are priority narratives. My own art, designs, and crafts are shared here among other intuitive artists.
